Comox Mall Revitalization

Mayor of Comox is hoping the revitalization of the Comox Mall will provide a boon for the town. Paul Ives says the redevelopment should attract more tourists and shoppers to the downtown area. “As we see new tenants move in there and the facility itself through it’s renovations, we will see a much broader range of retail,” Ives states. “I think that people living in close proximity to the downtown will maybe take more opportunity to do their shopping there and that will help the businesses that are already downtown. So it’s a win – win for both the existing businesses and the new ones coming in.” The Comox Mall revitalization is one of several enhancement projects in the downtown area.
