The Comox Valley and Campbell River broke historical temperature records over the weekend as hot weather blanketed much of B-C . In Campbell Rver, the temperature soared to 29 degrees on Saturday, breaking the previous high of 27.5 set in 2018. On Sunday, the mercury climbed to 33 degrees — six degrees higher than the previous mark of 27 set in 2016. In the Comox Valley, the daytime high on Saturday was 26.9, point-three degrees higher than the previous record in 2018. On Sunday, the high reached 31.9, surpassing the old mark of 25.6 in 2018.
