BC Liberals are getting together in Vancouver this weekend for the party’s annual convention. Comox Valley MLA Don McRae says it’s a chance for party faithful to gather prior to next year’s election. He says it’s an opportunity for policy to be worked on and issues discussed. Some of the issues expected to be bought up include economic, environmental, and social. This will be Don McRae’s last convention as the MLA for the Comox Valley. “It’s exciting and also kind of sad,” McRae states. “There has been a lot of great work done in the Comox Valley, but that being said the new candidate Jim Benniger will be laying the foundation to make sure that he gets support for the thing that he wants to work on for the 2017 election.”As many as 1,300 delegates are expected to attend this weekend’s get together.
